VegOut is a how-to site for college students who are interested in learning about a vegan lifestyle and are looking to make the transition in a healthy, managable and sustainable way.

Here at VegOut, we aim to contribute the vegan experience with the college experience. We provide quick, easy recipes and tips for the on-the-go student and even offer how-to guides for users looking for answers about the transition. From mindful and sustainable food shopping to nutrition tips, VegOut has you covered. Navigating a vegan lifestyle shouldn't be overwhelming or break the bank; these guides and recipes are created for budget and health conscious students.

WHY ARE WE HERE?

Full-time students have difficulty finding the time and money to cook healthy meals for themselves. For some, eating healthy has never come easily. With school and its many roadblocks in the mix, it seems almost impossible. Determined to prove that eating healthy and mindfully in college is still possible, this site was born. By embracing minimalist cooking, simple-ingredient recipes and smart shopping, VegOut is the solution for breaking through these roadblocks.  

 

There are also many misconceptions about following a vegan diet. As a one-stop-shop, VegOut provides clear facts and tips about the nutrition, vitamins and minerals needed to keep up with an easy, healthy and hassle-free plant-based life.

 

The benefits of following a vegan lifestyle are starting to become more clear:

 

According to a Harris Interactive study commissioned by the Vegetarian Resource Group, approximately five percent of the U.S. is vegetarian (close to 16 million people) and about half of these vegetarians are vegan. While this may sound like a small number, the number of vegans in the U.S. has doubled since 2009 from only 2.5 percent of the population. This means that 7.5 million people in the U.S. now eat diets that do not include any animal products.

 

VegOut is dedicated to gradually guiding you towards one of the best decisions you could make for yourself. Your body will thank you!
